Megan
Megan
was our very first collie. After previously having a collie/husky
mix we again wanted that combo but were unable to find a suitable
puppy. Luck would have it that we decided to go with a purebred
collie instead. After a very short time we realized what a
wonderful temperament the collie breed has. She was the first dog
that we had that we truly fell in love with. While she has had no
formal obedience training she is just as strong with her sits,
downs, and stays as our others are. Megan has the most expressive eyes I have encountered on any collie. We lost wonderful Megan about a month past her 14th, yes 14th, birthday. She gave so much of herself to us. She will forever be love and remembered.
Libby
came to live with us as a rescue when she was about 18 months old. To
our surprise when I went to get her we discovered that she is a full
littermate to Cajun. She has completed basic and advance
obedience and has her CGC and TDI titles. She enjoys going to the
elementary schools for the Reading with Rover program. Her sole
mission in life is to lay on the sofa with her head on your lap.
Very mellow baby
Willie
Willie
also came to us along with Libby as a rescue. He is our mild
manner gentleman dog. Always the protector and such a kind
dog. Willie also has completed basic and advanced obedience and
has his Canine Good Citizen. He also does some carting and dog
sledding. We had to put Willie down after a very fast and short illness. He was such a gentleman dog. His mark on our hearts is forever...
Cajun
Cajun
was to have been part of our breeding stock but unfortunately we
discovered at an early age that he is PRA affected. His vision is
very limited but he is very happy and enjoys sleeping on his recliner
and hanging out. Always smiles and has the tail that won't stop
wagging.
Although
we no longer have Genny and Bart with us they will live forever in our
hearts. Genny was our older son's dog and after his life changed
once he graduated from college we placed Genny in a very loving
home. There she is able to watch over a nice lady and provide her
with companionship and love. With her being so young it we felt
it the best to place her where she can have constant love and
attention.
Bart's
life ended far too soon. He was a very loving dog and provided us
with lots of laughs and love. We will miss him always. Rest
easy Baby Bartman |
